The Swami Haridhas Giri Scholarship

HH Jagathguru Sri Niranjanananda Giri Swamigal established the Swami Haridhas Giri Scholarship at the the world famous and time-honoured University of Oxford's Centre for Hindu Studies back in 2016. The scholarship enables postgraduate students and academics from across the world to do research and study the Bhakti traditions of Hinduism in-depth.

It is a perpetual scholarship meaning that it will continue every year for as long as the University of Oxford continues. The first of its kind in Europe, it is a testimony to the Grace of Sathgurunathar and the love Swamiji had for His Guru, Swami Haridhas Giri that such a once in a lifetime scholarship was possible to put in place, at such a prestigious institution.

In the last three years, since the establishment of this scholarship, many students from across the globe including Europe, Asia, New Zealand and Canada have benefitted from this scholarship to continue their research studies. These studentsa have also written to His Holiness Jagathguru Sri Niranjanananda Giri Swamigal in gratitude.
